Welcome to books by Jonathan Drane. Jonathan’s work spans travel memoir, historical novel, short stories, poems and articles since the 1960s when he wrote his first poem as a teenager while working in the Eveleigh Rail Yards Redfern Maintenance Shed.
He is a recognised author won a NSW Writer’s Festival award for his travel memoir The Way of a Thousand Arrows about his journey with his young family on the Camino de Santiago (The Spanish Pilgrim Trail).
And international recognition for his poem The Art of Listening.
His academic work on the development of cities spans 30 years from his undergraduate degree at UNSW FAculty of Architecture through to MGSM Business School then UNSW Built Environment.
His doctorate called The Seed in the Cityscape was created under an Australian Post Graduate Award in 2015.
His web site jondrane.net is now called The City Whisperer which reveals the mystery of the city and its eternal growth patterns and the associated wonders and malaise.
